So far 2 coasters out of 6 discs written. None plays on my standalone dvd player. Bad KProbe test results. The only good things about this discs is that I got 25-pack for free - bought 2 packs from Office Depot (buy 1 get 1 offer), and after finding out how bad they are just returned the 2nd pack unopened...

Well I had high hopes as Philips developed the +r/rw format and I got these at Office Depot sale no rebate two 25/packs for $49.95 so $1 a disc. Well. 8 discs later, four are coasters...2 failed to reador format and were pronounced "invalid disc". The other 2 formated and successfullr were read and burned, but could not be formatted because after burning could not be read by the recorder and were pronounced "invalid disc" so thus coiuld not be finalized. Rebooting did not help. The other four were successfully finalized and could be played back on the recorder and an Apex 1500 which will play anything thrown at it (so far).
RUN don't walk, away from theses discs. Guess I'll wait for another Best Buy rebate sale and get the Fuji
for $1.2-/disc! Have no problems with Fuji, TDK or even the Memorex that don't work in my friend's Philips deck.

Will take the rest back for refund, they suck.

Media has a difficult time playing movies with my dvd player & my new ps2. When check for errors, they show signs of them with DvdInfo & Nero. I thought i had a bad batch of these, but the other spindle were the same exact as the first spindle opened. Errors, skipping and freezing. From Philips, consumers would expect high quality, especially with the money Philips are expecting for their DVDr, but they're so far away in competition to supply good blank medias to customers. CMC-type medias is not an excuse, Philips needs to step up and watch over what they are selling to customers.

These discs burned great in my LG GSA-4040B with CopyToDVD. Nero was horrible for my drive with some Circuit City Liquid Video DVD-R made by Optodisc. Then I switched to CopyToDVD. These discs played in my JVC XV-SA75GD even better than Memprex 4x DVD+R discs (RICOHJPN) I burned in the same with CopyToDVD.
