Burning at 4x with these discs has been spotty at best - about 35% have had problems - corrupted video, Divx files not playing back properly and DVD-R applications aborting halfway through with "bad media" errors.

This media doesn't even exist in my SONY DRU-700A burner, according to Nero. The burner can recognize it enough for DVD Identifier to get the info for it, but not through Nero.

Had a horrible time with this media on my NEC-2500A with latest (herrie's 1.07) firmware. I have had no problem in the past with Ritek G04's and Taiyo Yuden TYG02's, but about 40 per cent of these CMC Mag AE1 disks burned with unreadable sectors even at 2x. Definitely not recommended for the NEC-2500A.

To my surprise, I was able to burn home made movies at 12x using VSO CopytoDVD. Tried the final result in 7 different bands DVD players (Panasonic, Toshiba, Pioneer, JVC, etc.) and they ALL were able to read the movie without a glitch. Very happy so far with them. I'm usually very happy with Memorex products, and these ones add to my satisfaction.
