I have had no problems burning with my NEC DVD burner that's in my computer. I have been able to burn with a Panasonic DMR-T6070, but I have problems playing it back in other DVD players. The DVD player I have (Sony DVP-NS575P) plays back the DVDs I burn on my NEC just fine.
