	You can use the hack posted for the LG RH-7624W and DR-7800: 1) Power On 2) Open Tray 3) Press Setup 4) Highlight the Lock Picture (Don't Enter Right hand Menu) 5) Press "0" seven times 6) You now get a message on the screen saying "Congratulations - This player is now Region Free". It works, I've tried it !

	I can confirm this hack works as I have just performed it. I went from region 4 to region free and have played both region 4 and 1 DVDs. 1) Turn DVD recorder on 2) Press HOME 3) Press ENTER 4) Select Padlock(DO NOT go into sub menu) 5) Press "0" seven times A message appears saying "Congratulations! Player (loader) Region Free!". 6) Press ENTER 7) Exit out of setup menu or turn recorder off

	I tried the above and it didn't work on my Region 2 (UK mfctr date July 07) LG DR275. However, go to http://alge.anart.no/~andersgo/dvd/ and download the zip file (instructions included) burn to CD-R and it will let you set it as region free.... hope this helps! ;-)

	The "0000000" do not work for me but the OP6 does, just please be shure you understand the steps B4 doing it.My region 4 is now free. a) press "open tray" on the unit and "clear" in the remote at the same time. a service screen will apear, PLZ DO NOT TRY TO MOVE on the menu yet. Is where most of the problems ocuurs. To move on the menu the "left" and "rigth" on the remote advance or return one column at the time. The "Up" and "Down", adds or substract One from the value. Many people try to navigate the cursor and modifiy values at random.Bad idea If you are carefully, write on paper the default values. it wont hurt and may save you the headache. If you already screwed up just unplug the power cord and start over. B) using left and rigth move to "OP6", then modify the value to "04" using up and down, in my particular case went from "24" to "04" c) press "ok" in the remote. Since the menu have no exit press the "power" button. Now the unit is region free but the channel settings where lost so need to be reprogramed and that is all folks. Enjoy.
