Tried OmniRemote 2.02 Demo Version (www.pacificneotek.com)and added the hack codes from DV-454 (Zaphods)to my old Palm V- send the "0" to my DV-2650 a couple of times (with an open tray)- eventually it shut down; well, does still play my RC2 movies, but who knows how to tell if it´s really region free now??? | |||

This method worked for a Pioneer DV-2650 (silver) purchased in Austria. Then I replaced the code of one button (in my case Button 3, but that doesn't really matter) with the code listed above and imported this new file into OmniRemote again. Switched on the DVD player, opened the tray and sent the code by pressing button 3 on the PDA. It worked the first time - the tray retracted and the DVD player switched itself off and was regionfree. I could not get it to work with the other codes posted in the DV-454 forum - the only code that worked was the one above. Be sure to check if OmniRemote is actually talking to your DVD player before you try to submit the code. Train one regular function of the DVD player (for example PLAY) with the DVD remote first and check if that function works from OmniRemote. | |||

I used Peter's lirc conf (at the Pioneer 454 hack report)file and sent the conf file to my P800 phone and used Total irRemote to send the code to my 2650. Worked great! Works also with Nokia Series 60 phones. | |||
