I confirm: this works on a R2 player. Can now play R1 DVDs. Don't know if it works on different Blu-ray regions, however. | |||

The hack removes both dvd and blu ray region lock and makes it free. Just tried it today. | |||

The region hack 1-3-8-9-3-1-0 does not work on the Blu-ray part, only on the DVD part of the player. I have also checked and this with a Region-A locked disc on the European (Region-B) locked player. | |||

Works perfect for the DVD part, BluRay remains Region 2 As far as I know there are no players(maybe OPPO, but not even that I think) yet that are BR region free, if you think yours is, you probably just tested it with a region free BR movie. | |||
