 Region code hack posted by nitrogen79, April 21 2010:Use One for All Remote (I used URC 7930 purchased from Dick Smith for $39.95). You can also return the remote back to Dick Smith within 14 days, so the hack is free!! - Press DVD Button - Hold Down Magic Button (Small "M" button to the left of the menu button on my remote) until the power button flashes twice - Enter 0 5 3 3 (I think the power button flashes twice afterwards) Keep DVD in standby while programming remote. Programming the Remote: 1) - Hold down MAGIC until power button flashes twice - Enter 9 9 4 - Press MAGIC once - Enter 0 0 1 8 9 - Press 1 (power button will flash twice) 2) - Hold down MAGIC until power button flashes twice - Enter 9 9 4 - Press MAGIC once - Enter 0 0 2 5 5 - Press 2 (power button will flash twice) 3) - Hold down MAGIC until power button flashes twice - Enter 9 9 4 - Press MAGIC once - Enter 0 0 0 9 5 - Press 3 (power button will flash twice) 4) - Hold down MAGIC until power button flashes twice - Enter 9 9 4 - Press MAGIC once - Enter 0 0 2 2 1 - Press 4 (power button will flash twice) 5) - Hold down MAGIC until power button flashes twice - Enter 9 9 4 - Press MAGIC once - Enter 0 0 0 7 9 - Press 5 (power button will flash twice) While the DVD player is in standby mode, enter 1 2 3 4 5 on remote. DVD player will turn itself on after about 10 seconds and mine made a weird mechanical sound inside like the DVD tray was being shaken (a little unsettling to be honest). After about 20 seconds I turned the unit to standby, then turned it back on again. VOILA!! To my surprise this hack actually worked.
