The SEG Los Angeles II with ESS ES6018F chipset is already region free by factory default.
You can check it by following this procedure:

1. No CD in the tray
2. Press MENU, 1, 3, 5, 7
3. An info screen appears, check the region, it should be 0 (region free)

This player is the same as the Amstrad 2320, the Proson 2320 and the SEG Hollywood III, Los Angeles II, Tahiti, New Orleans models with ESS chipset.
