| Region code hack posted by repask, April 23 2008: this should do the trick: (it worked for me at least) 1. Remove Disk from Tray. 2. Switch Off Player. 3. Wait 30 Seconds, Then Reconnect Mains. 4. Turn On player with Remote Control. Wait for player to Finish Loading and Display 'No Disc'. 5. Press Enter on Remote Control. (There will be No On-Screen Response.) 6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be No On-screen Response.) 7. Press Enter on the Remote Control. Player will Automatically Turn Off. 8. Turn Player On. 9. Open Tray 10.Close tray. 11.Turn Player Off then On Again. 12.Player is Now Region Free. Enjoy | ||||

Worked for fallow configuration: Samsung HT-TX250R Bluetek ver: X250 1.11 1231 Firmware ver: 5.1.54.1.PX Loader ver: X5NC0 Firmware file: XPNIENXX.ROM Turn on HT with no DVD in it. Enter key combination: ENTER 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 ENTER HT will shut down. You have to turn it on again. Region free is applied (plays US DVD's, before it didn't). You might do the operation twice (I have to), but I'm not sure, was it maybe because I haven't pinpointed remote to DVD, so it didn't picked up the code. | ||||
