The following one worked for me: 20080711150419921_hr773_080422_EUR.ruf You can download it from samsung websites. Note 1 - the hack did NOT work for me with an earlier version of the firmware. Then I tried a combination of the above with a solution for another type (can't recall what type :-( ) This is what worked for me: A. update firmware (I do not know if it is important, but I did it before trying the solution below). 1.- Without any disc in the tray turn on your player 2.- Press “menu” button in the remote 3.- goto settings, press OK 4.- Press in the remote the code corresponding to your region Enter numbers "5" "7" "5" "3" "8" (attention! this worked for my region = region 2, but I have seen different codes for different regions. Browse the forum for codes if this one don't work!) 5.- The number of your region should appear in the left up corner of your screen (in my case 2) 6.- Press the button “9” in the remote 7.- Open disctray with remote, wait 5 seconds 8.- Turn off your dvd player Et voila: a region free DVD player 8-D | ||||
| Region code hack posted by justwannawatch, December 02 2011: Followed 1st hack listed using a logitech remote as there is a problem with the original. no luck. tried other options but without the firmware upgrade. no luck. tried 1st suggestion with factory issued remote - most keys work just few didn't - the 1st hack worked with the original remote!
