| Region code hack posted by Andrew Hill, August 25 2003: Pacific DVD 1002 I have been into DVD since before it came to the UK - My first machine was imported from the USA and cost me an arm and a leg - I bought another machine in the UK about 18 months later (for the bedroom!!)a Philips 750 - still cost me an arm and a leg but a decent enough machine. Time has moved on and my imported machine (Panasonic A110) is still going strong but my Philips 750 has just about had it. Just Bought the Pacific DVD 1002 from Asda £44.97 and after one hour it is now a region free machine and plays DVD-R DVD+R with a number of different makes of media. Delighted... to say it's a bargain would just not do it justice - I'm off to buy another three and I am not joking.Finding a machine under £50 and plays all regions and plays all media DVD+/- DTS, MP3 etc should be impossible but it's not any more. Thank you ASDA. The following hack worked on my machine on the remote press open/close press clear press 1 press 3 press 6 press 9 press region number 1 to 6(0 for region free) press open/close Now region free... hopefully Thank you to the previous post that gave me this Hack - your a gem! | ||||
