	Region code hack posted by splitenz72, December 26 2009: The above hack for MVD-2020 does not work on the Memorex MVD2016BLK I purchased from Target in 12/2009. When used, the hack will cause all video to come through in black and white, but will not reject DVDs from other regions. This model does, however, play PAL DVDs pretty well, if you don't mind the black and white images.
	Region code hack posted by nothingtofearmusic, February 26 2011: After an absurd # of attempts to apply the hacks on the page referenced by the 1st poster, the menu for the THE LAST UNICORN German DVD finally loaded (disc is read as a DVD-ROM for some reason...) but none of the options can be selected. I can't watch the film in default mode nor can I select language options, or anything. I pushed "menu" on the remote and some DVD-ROMy thing popped up, none of the options there were usable either...
	Region code hack posted by colinmeister, August 16 2011: 1. Press "Setup" button. 2. Enter password "9999" 3. Press "<-->" button to change region code "1 is for USA". You may find code 255, this is for all code. 4. Press "Setup" button to confirm. This one works on MVD-2016. The other hack on this site did not work for me. I reset my player to region 2 (Language 2 on the screen) and played UK DVD, switched back to region 1 for US DVDs.
