 Region code hack posted by bokske, August 30 2010:I have used the code described in hacks for other Medion models, to make my this model region-free. The Medion MD-82767 is a portable 7-inch DVD player with twin screens. On the Medion website in Belgium, this player is also named "Medion Life E72010". I suspect this is the official model number in other countries. With the DVD player powered on, there is no need to open the "tray". (This model actually has a front panel which tilts outward.) Goto the Setup menu by using the remote control's "Setup" button. This menu has "tabs". Under some of these tabs, entering the code 1 3 6 9 with the numerical buttons of the remote control, shows a readout of some version numbers of the firmware. The current region code is also listed. Navigate to the one-but-last tab of the Setup menu, called "Preference page". Entering that same code 1 3 6 9 here, will allow to choose the region code. It can be modified with the up/down arrows (not by typing the number directly with the num-keys, in my experience). Leaving the Setup menu by pressing "Setup" again on the remote control, makes this change permanent. | ||||
