Marantz originally shipped the DV-12S with the DVI connector disabled (for legal reasons). This hack will enable the DVI connector:

1. Make sure there is NO DISC in the tray!
2. Turn the unit off with the remote.
3. Turn the unit back on with the remote.
4. Enter the following code on the remote:
1 7 3 2 0 5 0 8

This hack works for models sold in Germany. I do not know for sure if it will also work for models shipped in other countries.
