	The Dynex DX-PDVD7 player can be made region free. - Power the unit on, have no DVD inside. - Press SETUP on the Remote - Hit the right forward arrow key until the "Preference Page" shows up - Press 9-6-5-3 on the remote - A window with Firmware version information comes up - Use the up/down arrow keys to select 0 - Press ENTER on the remote - Leave the setup menu with SETUP It also played a PAL DVD right away, so I guess that I am all set now.

	I tried the dezoning hack for the DYNEX DX-PDVD7. However when it comes to show the firmware version and the Zone(zone 1 in my case) there is no way to move the arrows up or down and therefore change the zone. Could it be because my portable DVD player is a DX-P7DVD and not a DX-PDVD7? Any help for dezoning my DX-P7DVD more than wellcome

	I cannot change the region with the information posted on the site. When it comes to changing the zone with the arrows as told it does not work.I think the hack posted is for a similar but different DVD player called DX-PDVD7. Someone else wrote on the site that it does not work for him neither. Can you help?

	The hack below works for Dynex DX-D7PDVD player to be region free. - Power the unit on, have no DVD inside. - Press SETUP on the DVD player - Hit the left back arrow key twice - A window with Firmware version and zone information comes up - Use the up/down arrow keys to select 0 - Press middle ENTER button on the player - Leave the setup menu with SETUP

	Slightly different from above: - Power the unit on, have no DVD inside. - Press SETUP on the DVD player - Hit the left back arrow key four times - A window with Firmware version and region information comes up - One can not scroll through this window, but hitting the down arrow key and then hitting the middle OK button does change the region setting. - To verify the new region setting, hit the left back arrow key four times again. If it is not set to the desired region, hit the down arrow button and center ok button again. Otherwise, hit the SETUP button to leave the firmware and region information window. - Your player is now region free. Please note: I didn't check how many times one can change the region setting!
