 Region code hack posted by Tony A, November 22 2003:I can confirm that the http://dev0_2000.tripod.com/ region hack did work on my Aiwa XD-AX10 which is a clone of the Sony DVPNS330 (but £30 cheaper at £59.99 side by side at Empire). You will need a Palm OS PDA with infrared, not the original remote control. | ||||

| Region code hack posted by Adrian, January 02 2004: I have just made my Pal Region 2 Aiwa XD-AX10 Multi Region using the One For All Signature URC7030 Remote Control which I got from argos. Tested with The Tuxedo (Region 1) and The Matrix (Region 4). Heres how I did it: Setup Device; 1. Select dvd device on remote. 2. Hold magic button. 3. Enter device code 0533 Program buttons 1..5 with the following codes: 1 - 189 2 - 255 3 - 095 4 - 221 5 - 079 1. Hold magic button. 2. Press 994 3. Press magic 4. Enter 3 digit code from above 5. Press button (1..5) where to program it 6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 for all keys so that each key on the remote (1-5) uses the code above. Have it a go: 1. Remove any DVD in the DVD Player, put player on standby. 2. Press 1,2,3,4,5 - success is displayed and player comes out of standby mode. 3. press 1,2,3,4,5 - player shuts down back into stand by mode and your're done. Now simply insert any Region DVD Disc and it will play no problems. I think this trick will also work with Sony DVP-NSxxx DVD Players aswell. | ||||

Using a one for all remote control which you can buy from http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/store ... ctId=52048 well worth it!!! The hacked worked, although I did have trouble with the PAL to NTSC. I resolved my problem by plugging the scart lead directly into the back of the tv, instead of via another device such as a digital reciever like I had. once again thanks adrian lifesaver!! | ||||

I found that it worked by: with power off: pressing 1 2 3 4 5 power then, 1 2 3 4 5 power. the display outputs "success" if you get a grey screen, plug into your tv via scart. Then you need to go into display and then custom and select rgb output. then you have color. | ||||
