I have no compaints! It does very easily all it is supposed to do. It was installed in two minutes. As I know it's recomended by RealNetworks and Microsodt as the best capture board for Streaming. I would say not only Streaming, but any kind of video at 30 fps. This is an amazing card. Comments posted by Angelo from Other, April 02, 2003: Compatibility: Win95 Win98 Win2K WinXP Vista? NT4 MAC? Pro's: Cheap,Easy install,Easy to use. With 4 vidio inputs of which one is S-video. Ability to use more than one capture card in host machine (NT), Low machine "proc" usage, 30 fps capture, easy configuration, compatable with majority of codecs, full screen capture (640X480). I use this card to recieve vid through a wireless A/V transceiver from set top DVD to capture DVD's on the fly without the CR showing on the final capture. Vid Confrencing with CamCorder, Vid dub with dvd decoder card hardwired to vid cap card. Cons: This card is manufactured by "HAUPAUGE", OSPREY puts a sticker over the cards true manufacturer. No audio inputs, Comments posted by Sergio from Other, December 21, 2001: Compatibility: Win95 Win98 Win2K WinXP? Vista? NT4 MAC? Linux? - Rated: 10 of 10. |

This card is based on the BT848 chipset and now has two composite inputs and one S-video input (which is the one I use). Older versions like mine only have one composite input. My system is a PIII600Mhz coppermine (133Mhz bus) with 128MB RAM and 7200RPM Maxtor hard drive among other things... I was pretty amazed when this card captured without dropping frames at 720x480 (as long as you don't use any filters during capture -- I do it later with TMPEGEnc) and no DirectDraw use using Huffyuv at best quality or MJPEG at Quality setting 20. Part of the key though is having a clean hard drive. If more than 3/4 of the drive is used, frames slowly start dropping. System is very stable with this card and the quality of the capture is superb. I would recommend this card any day. Comments posted by Aaron Clow from Other, October 11, 2001: Compatibility: Win95?
