I would give a better rating than a 1, but I bought this second hand and the person I bought it off of said, "I had to reinstall my OS and could not find the driver disk... can't find it online... Adaptec does not offer the drivers for it and gives no info on that. HE WAS 100% CORRECT!!!! I have tried everything to get the proper drivers for it to no avail. I know all the details about the drivers ... What they do/are for, what they will be listed as in the "Device Manager", Adaptec AVC-3610 USB Device, Adaptec AVC-3610FM USB Device respectfully. The only driver set I can find was through another forum where someone gave a link to his/her zip file, but that was for an "HP PVR ACV-3610" built-in (internal). I can get the HP driver to partially work and comes up in the "Device Manager" as, "HP Dual TV Tuner" and it seems to be at least partially correct ( "No Conflicts"... "Device is Working Properly" ), but compared to what I expect to see this seems to be a driver feature that Adaptecs PDF does not mention that you need. So I recommend not to buy this if you do not have the drivers for it. Also it only works in MCE 2005, but again, only if you can find the drivers! I actually give this device a 0 out of 10, but it was not an option so I rated it a 1. I also put that I have used it for 1 day, but obviously I have yet to use this POS! Takes a bit of effort to find the drivers, but works as advertised. FM radio, both coax TV tuners plus recording all work for me. Comments posted by taikamiya from United States, June 18, 2008: Compatibility: Win95? Win98? Win2K? WinXP Vista? NT4? MAC? Linux? - Rated: 8 of 10. |

Worthless piece of junk. Worthless company. Arrogant and totally non-cooperative. I regret having wasted my money on the HP computer this piece of rubbish came with. BTW, I've HAD the box for two years. I have never gotten it to work. There is no support. In fact, HP doesn't know anything about this box. The only support you can get from them comes from the Quick Startup sheet that comes with the computer. Adaptec won't even identify the chipset. I had to tear the box apart and look for myself. Next stop: Trashcan. I'll never buy an Adaptec or HP product again. Comments posted by Steve Bumgardner from United States, November 06, 2007: Compatibility: Win95? Win98? Win2K? WinXP? Vista? NT4?
